JOHN STEENHUISEN’S WIFE SHOWS OFF ‘FAVOURITE’ PEP DRESS [PHOTO]

Weeks after admitting that his family shops at Pep stores, the wife of new Minister of Agriculture John Steenhuisen has revealed her favourite fashion and budget-friendly buy.

John and Terry wed a decade ago and have a young daughter together. The minister was previously married to Julie Steenhuisen, with whom he has two older daughters.

John is one of six DA ministers elected into cabinet positions. Others include Leon Schreiber (Home Affairs), Dean Macpherson (Works and Infrastructure), Dion George (Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment), Siviwe Gwarube (Basic Education), and Solly Malatsi (Communications and Digital Technologies).

JOHN STEENHUISEN’S WIFE SHOWS OFF FAVOURITE PEP DRESS

In an Instagram Story earlier this week, John Steenhuisen’s wife, Terry, shared a look at one of her favourite looks, a blue and white dress.

The item—purchased for R139,99 from Pep—was worn during one of the DA’s political rallies in May.

“On the blue carpet today. Terry Steenhuisen wearing Pep,” read the IG Story.

She captioned the post: “This is one of my favourites.”

In February, John Steenhuisen revealed that Pep Stores was a firm favourite in their household.

He said: “I shop at Pep Stores. 90% of my children’s clothing comes from Pep Stores. To have this notion that only black people shop at Pep is frankly ridiculous. Their consumer records will show that very clearly”.

The DA leader was responding to criticism of his prior comments about the ANC purchasing “ill-fitting clothes from Pep Stores.”

VELDSKOENE AND SHEEPSKIN SLIPPERS

While Terry and John Steenhuisen admit to being frugal with their wardrobes, they certainly splurge on their shoe collections.

Terry also revealed via her IG Stories that the family are fans of locally produced Veldskoen and sheep skin slippers.

‘SECOND AND FAVOURITE WIFE’

Appearing on Podcast and Chill in 2022, John opened up about his two marriages, the second one of which began after an illicit affair.

When MacG asked to confirm if he had cheated on his first wife, John said: “I met somebody. I fell in love with her and she’s now my wife”.

He also referred to his current spouse, Terry, as his “second and favourite wife.”  Before he wed Terry in 2014, John was married to Julie Steenhuisen from 2000 -2010.

In 2010,  the Witness reported that John engaged in an extra-marital affair with Terry, who was a media liaison officer in KwaZulu-Natal at the time.

Terry was also married to DA provincial director Michael Beaumont.

John and Terry are now parents to a little girl Olivia, while he also has two daughters, Caro and Ashleigh, from his first marriage.
