Famous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue models through the years
This year, 81-year-old Martha Stewart has become the oldest model to cover Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. The lifestyle guru revealed the cover on the 'Today' show, which depicts her in a plunging one-piece bathing suit and a billowing orange cover-up. “I like that picture,” Stewart said with a laugh, admitting it was “odd” to be photographed in swimwear “in front of all those people,” but it “turned out OK.” The celebrity chef told the magazine, “Age is not the determining factor in terms of friendship or in terms of success, but what people do, how people think, how people act, that’s what’s important and not your age.” Stewart is joined by the likes of actress Megan Fox, musician Kim Petras, TV host Padma Lakshmi, and more. In this gallery, we travel back in time and bring you some of the cover models through the years, ever since the first issue was published in 1964, until today. Click on!
