A tasty and affordable snack from Aldi Australia has caught the attention of shoppers but those who haven't been lucky enough to try them will have to wait until the seasonal item's back in stock.

The $2.99 Dairy Fine Mini Peanut Butter Filled Eggs has been dubbed a 'ten out of ten' by happy customers. 

The creamy milk chocolate eggs are made with a delicious smooth peanut butter filling mixed with small crunchy pieces.  

But while many raved about the buy on social media, others didn't realise the eggs were limited edition over the Easter period.

Now Aldi fans will need to wait until next year for the indulgent snack to be rereleased. 

One shopper who managed to get her hands on a packet described the treat as 'unreal'. 

'You open them up and you think, "they don't even look that good", but wait,' Gemma said. 

'Look at all that peanut butter, it tastes like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. I've already eaten half the packet I'm not going to lie to you, these are unreal.' 

'I got two packs the other day but haven’t tried them yet. I was surprised how cheap they were! I have to try them and go and get more,' one commented on the video. 

Others tagged their friends to share their excitement.

Another foodie who goes by the moniker @nectoriouspapi also boasted about the chocolate in a now-viral TikTok. 

'A definite yes from me. This is an easy ten out of ten for me,' he said.

The Easter eggs were released in store in February - and will likely be back around the same time next year. 

Last month foodies lost their minds after spotting the 'world's best chocolate' on sale at Aldi. 

One shopper from Geelong spotted bars of Tony's Chocolonely in the 'Special Buys' section and was shocked by the $4.99 pricetag. 

The cult-favourite chocolate, hailing from the Netherlands, sent customers wild last year after launching in Coles and Woolworths for $8 each.

Now fans are rushing to Aldi to get their hands on the popular buy for a discounted price. 

'$4.99, seriously? They've got white chocolate strawberry cheesecake and the dark milk chocolate brownie,' she said in a TikTok video.
